Can I purchase your lunch boxes in store?

Yes, our products are available from stores across Australia and are listed on our Stockist page.

Can I put the whole lunch box in the dishwasher?

The short answer is YES! However, in order to prolong the longevity of your Arigato Box, we suggest using the top rack for the base and internal lid, and giving the outer lid a quick hand wash. The cutlery is also fine to go in the dishwasher.

Will the lunch box fit in a regular sized lunch bag?

We have found that our boxes fit most insulated lunch bags. We are also busily creating our very own insulated bags, so stay tuned! The dimensions of our boxes are 22.5cm x 18.5cm x 7.0cm and holds 1.3 litres.

Is the lunch box 100% leakproof?

We have 2 lids as part of our unique lunch box design. The internal lid seals tight and prevents contents from spilling out of the box to avoid messy spills in school bags.

If the box is tipped upside down or shaken around, liquid contents may spill between compartments. We suggest keeping your lunch box upright if possible and placing any sauces/liquids in the smallest central compartment.

What age is the lunch box suitable for?

We recommend our lunch boxes be used by children aged 3 and over as there are small pieces that can become a choking hazard.

What material is the lunch box made from?

The lunch box is made from a mix of food grade wheat straw and polypropylene.

How do I fit the double lid correctly?

Place the inner lid on top of the lunch box, ensuring it is aligned and pushed down. Then align the outer lid on top and fold the clips down. Please note, if the inner or outer lid are not aligned correctly and the clips are forced closed, the clips can break as our lunch boxes are made of a natural fibre. Should this occur, spare clips are available for purchase upon request.

What is your returns and refunds policy?

If you have received an incorrect or faulty product, please contact us so that we can make it right.

For change of mind purchases, we can offer a refund if requested within 7 days of receipt of goods. Product must be unused, in original packaging and in brand new condition. Please contact our customer service team (hello@arigatobento.com.au) to advise of a product return. Contact details and order number must be included with your goods. The amount refunded for returned goods due to change of mind will be less the initial shipping cost. International returns are not accepted.


The customer is responsible for any shipping charges on returned goods unless the item(s) being returned are as a result of an error on behalf of Arigato Bento.

All claims are individually assessed and approved returns are refunded back to the original method of payment. We do not offer product exchanges, only refunds. Therefore, an order is firstly refunded and a new order can be created if desired.

All claims must be made within 7 days of receipt of goods.

Please note, we can only issue refunds for orders placed on our website. If you purchased your product from a retail store or website other than arigatobento.com.au, please revert directly to your original place of purchase.
